Marlowe’s text was conflated with a telling of Jake and Dinos Chapman’s notorious 'rectification' of Goya’s Disasters of War. Faustus’s dark and cliché-ridden study swiftly transformed, first into the Chapmans’ studio and then into a White Cube space gallery.
